Welcome to the Lethabo Foundation website

Lethabo offers help to children in Soshanguve a township 30km from Pretoria,South Africa. Lethabo cares for orphans due to the AIDS pandemic:Affected and infected children,handicapped children,young girls and boys who are victims of sexual abuse. Lethabo also offers day care and after school care,computer lessons,art,drama and dance. Lethabo aims to help the disadvantaged community and build a better future for the children by providing developmental and sustainable programmes.

Lethabo is founded by Judith and Michael Mampa. Judith is Dutch, Michael grew up in the township during Apartheid era in South Africa.Michael knows how much help is needed.He knows the pain of sleeping without food,and without shoes.The foundation wants to contribute to improve the most disadvantaged community.Lethabo wants to help the areas where Apartheid has caused unpleasant and sad situations. During apartheid,the black community were denied opportunity to free education sporting facilities thus they remained underdeveloped in all community developments.
